California Designated Representative Training Course

To be licensed as a Designated Representative in California, you must meet the requirements outlined in Business and Professions Code section 4053. Wholesale operations that distribute dangerous drugs or dangerous devices must be supervised by either:

• A registered pharmacist, or

• An individual approved by the California State Board of Pharmacy as a Designated Representative.

These businesses may not operate unless the supervising pharmacist or designated representative is physically present on the licensed premises. To ensure proper oversight and continuity of operations, the Board strongly recommends that each company have more than one approved individual to supervise operations.

BFLOW® Academy’s California Designated Representative Training Course is accepted by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Successfully completing (and passing) this course is one of several requirements needed to obtain a California Designated Representative license. You must still meet all other Board requirements (e.g., experience, background check, application, and fees).

5. You will then submit your signed application, certificate of completion, and applicable fees directly to the California State Board of Pharmacy.
