California Sexual Harassment & Abusive Conduct Prevention — Employees (1 Hour)

California Sexual Harassment & Abusive Conduct Prevention — Employees (1 Hour)

    Course Description

This one-hour course is for nonsupervisory employees of California healthcare employers: DME and HME suppliers, community pharmacies, home health agencies, clinics and billing offices. It is designed to meet the one-hour nonsupervisory training requirement of California Government Code § 12950.1 and the Civil Rights Department regulations at 2 CCR § 11024.

Learners cover the definitions of sexual harassment under FEHA and Title VII, quid pro quo and hostile work environment harassment, verbal, physical, visual and digital conduct, harassment by and toward patients, customers and vendors, harassment based on gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation, abusive conduct, internal and external reporting to CRD and the EEOC, remedies, retaliation protections, limited confidentiality, and bystander intervention.

Each of the four lessons uses realistic healthcare scenarios and ends with a five-question knowledge check. Learners can submit content questions to a qualified trainer. A 20-question final assessment requires a score of 80% (16 of 20) to pass, and a certificate of completion is issued on passing. Training must be repeated every two years.
